The diesel version of Amaze and City got such an overwhelming response that Honda has decided to introduce a new facelift version of its bestselling hatchback Brio in the Indian market. the car is arrive by 2016 October. The company promises improved fuel efficiency for the model and there will be cosmetic changes in both the interior and exterior according to feedback from the customers of the current model of the Brio.

The all new Honda Brio will be priced Rs 4.6 lakhs to Rs. 6.8 lakhs. You will now have the option to choose from a petrol and a diesel engine. the Brio is equipped with a 1.2 liter i-VTEC petrol engine with four cylinders and a displacement of 1198 cc. It produces a power of 86.8 bhp and a peak torque of 109 Nm. This engine is paired with either a five speed manual transmission or five speed automatic transmissions. The new Brio claims a mileage of 19.4 kmpl for manual transmission and 16.5 kmpl for automatic transmission. In addition, the new Brio will probably offer a three cylinder 1.2 liter diesel engine which is the downsized version of the extremely fuel efficient 1.5 liter i-DTEC that powers the Amaze. It will probably offer excellent fuel economy and the expected figure is around 28 to 30 kmpl.

The exterior look of the Honda Brio had already won the heart of the car lovers and the changes here are mostly cosmetic. New metallic color of the model is now available at extra cost of Rs 3500. The most important change in the exterior look of the car is the change in its glass hatch which did not appeal to all. Instead, the car will probably come with the conventional tailgate. Apart from this, the exterior design of the car bears all the hallmarks of a Honda production. The front fascia is dominated by the chrome plated grille shaped like a moustache with the company logo embossed upon it. The big air dam helps the engine cool faster. The side profile has two prominent crease lines. The pronounced wheel arches and the redesigned rear completes the look of the new Honda Brio.
The interior of the car has been subjected to only a few changes. The most notable change is the introduction of the new VX grade black interiors. This has created a very sophisticated look of the car. The dashboard has now got a very modern and stylish look. The white illumination speedometer comes with blue gradation which has vastly improved the look and feel of the interior.

The new model will include all the safety and convenience features of the old line. The most important upgrade is the Audio vide0 navigation. It has a large 15.7 cm touch screen which has satellite based voice guided navigation and a number of maps. The suggestive keyboard is another helpful addition while the music system comes with CD, DVD, Bluetooth, MP3 and radio.
