TUV300 is the new addition to the list of SUVs by the Indian automobile manufacturer, Mahindra. Many believe TUV300 to be the replacement of the sub-four meter SUV Quanto, which failed to make a mark in the compact SUV segment. TUV300 model is
inspired by the design of a battle tank and has been built from the scratch. The rugged and potent looking SUV has a boxy look and also gets a new dual-tone makeover.
TUV300 price starts from Rs.7.45 lakhs(ex-showroom,Delhi).
Engine and Transmission
Under the hood, TUV300 carries a 1.5-litre five-speed manual transmission diesel mHAWK engine and a two-stage turbocharger that produces a peak power of 73.5 kW and 240 Nm of torque. The automated five-speed transmission generates 61.5 kW of power and 230 Nm of torque.
The SUV also comes with first-in-class 'autoshift' technology that changes gears automatically and also gets a two-wheel drive system.
As per the ARAI figures, TUV300 is estimated to give a mileage of 18.49 kmpl and also comes equipped with micro-hybrid technology that aids in enhanced fuel economy. The TUV300 has a very refined engine and perfoms well when compared to other SUVs.
The boxy looking SUV manages to appeal its customers by its tough and rugged appearance. The front of the vehicle is really bold with wider aprons. The radiator grille styling is taken from the Jeep model and works well in TUV300. The body shaped bumpers fits rightly above the fog lamps with wide air inlets giving the SUV an aggressive look from the front profile. The rectangular wheel arches, black treatment around the window frames and ORVMs lend a suave look to the SUV. The tailgate-mounted spare wheel at the rear gives the SUV a royal look from the rear end with the black sporty roof rails on the top.
