It is soon to be officially launched in India where it is hoped that it will help to establish the brand presence. The launch date however has not yet been announced. This is a premier sports car with a number of high end features. It will be imported to India as completely built units which are likely to attract large import duties. The price after all the taxes is likely to be near Rs 2 crores. The car is expected to compete withAudi R8, BMW 6-series, Porsche 911.
Engine & Performance
This car already has a well established reputation in the international market for a stunning performance and powerful engine. The Nissan GT-R is powered by a twin turbo six cylinder engine. This 3.8l V6 engine generates a power of 553 PS and a maximum torque of 612 to 632 Nm from 3200 to 5800 rpm. It takes only 2.9 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph. The low position of the wide windscreen, aerodynamically designed large doors with narrow windows and the massive 20 inches wheels impart a dominating look to this sports car. A six stage paint process has been used to achieve a liquid effect. the big rear glass, the round shaped LED taillights and the big rear bumper completes the look.
The interior is sophisticated and the seats are extra comfortable. The black interior creates a stunning contrast with the red upholstery. This two seater coupe offers tremendous leg and shoulder room as well as a panoramic view. The black colored dashboard has an array of round shaped dials representing the various instruments. Premium touches like the air cooled glove box, high quality plastic buttons and hand stitched leather wrapped steering wheel completes the interior look.

The GT-R is packed with features. These include a Bose sound system with surround sound, Bluetooth connectivity, steering mounted controls, climate control, air cooled seats, height adjustable steering and seats, electric outside rearview mirrors, rear view camera, darkness sensing headlamps and many more.
Comparison to other cars in the same segment
The GT-R can easily hold its own in competition with the other supercars in its segment. While the Audi R8 may have a smoother transmission or the Porsche 911 has a more luxurious interior, overall the GT-R more than fulfils the expectations generated by it.
The Nissan GT-R was launched in Japan in 2007, USA and Canada in 2008 and the rest of the world in 2009. It has remained a popular car because of its distinctive looks and stunning performance.
