Renault is ready with its fifth car model for the Indian Market. The latest sedan from the French automobile maker is set to hit the roads by the first week of September, 2012. Renault Scala is the rebadged Nissan Sunny. The Renault Nissan Alliance share a production plant at Chennai where the Scala model will be manufactured.
Renault Scala is very much similar to the Nissan Sunny except for some minor changes which will allow the company to place it at a slightly higher segment. Both Petrol and Diesel models of Renault Scala will be available. The Price of Scala in India is expected to be around Rs.6 lakhs for the Petrol model and Rs.8 lakhs for the diesel model.

Production of cars at the Renault Nissan Automotive India Pvt Ltd (RNAIPL) will not be impacted due to the fire that gutted down the warehouse belonging to Yusen Logistics (India) Ltd, a senior official of Nissan Motor India Friday said.
Yusen Logistics (India) Ltd's warehouse catering to Nissan Motor and Renault India's plant near here was totally destroyed in a fire that began Thursday afternoon, a fire official said.
