Skoda Yeti [2014 - 2017] Variants
Skoda Yeti [2014 - 2017] • Price, Variants & Specifications
Skoda Yeti was introduced in 2009 and is currently available in petrol and diesel variants. It is a superb choice for customers who give priority to functionality over looks of the car.
The Compact SUV has 2.0-litre diesel rated 108 bhp and another one with 138 bhp – the efficient operation of both proves the meticulous design employed by the car makers. The 17.72 km/liter mileage for 4x2 version and 17.67 mileage for 4x4 version makes the model a reliable one.
The cabin has several elements to ensure comfort of occupants– fine leather upholstery with wood inserts, electronically-adjustable driver seat and climatronic AC. As for the looks, the cabin is made very elegant and useful at the same time with multi-functional three-spoke steering wheel, eight speakers, Bluetooth connectivity and a classy touchscreen for audio system. Convenience is enhanced with the middle seat that can be pulled down to be used as armrest and has cup holders as well.
Mahindra XUV500 is a potent competitor that is more powerful – 140 bhp. The sets of XUV500 too have an advantage as they feel larger and plusher. But Yeti has an upper hand over its rival in terms of the overall interior design as Yeti is has very refined features, while those of XUV500 look somewhat unfinished.
Customers like the edgy and sharp looks of Yeti and a premium feel is added as the roof could be painted in contrasting shades. The big and boxy stance is appreciated, but owners feel that the body could have been made more stylish.
