The price of Cross Polo in India is expected to be around Rs.7.0 Lakhs and is expected to hit the market by August-September this year.

The Volkswagen CrossPolo is powered by a 1.2l TSI engine with a displacement of 1197 cc. It generates a power of 105 PS at 5000 rpm. It delivers a maximum torque of 235 Nm at 1550 to 4100 rpm. This has been mated with a dry clutch DSG gearbox that performs flawlessly in the CrossPolo. You can choose this 7 speed automatic transmission or you can opt for six speed manual transmission for sportier driving. The stiff suspension and the 17 inch alloy wheels deliver a smooth yet string ride. The powerful engine helps the car to reach 100 kmph mark within only 9.9 seconds. The top speed has been clocked at 188 kmph.

The turbocharged stratified injection (TSI) engine helps the car to attain a high degree of fuel efficiency while leaving a really low carbon footprint – the trademark of superb German engineering. The car is reported to deliver 18.1 kmpl in the Indian roads. There is some speculation that the model may have a CNG alternative, which will further improve the fuel efficiency of the car.

The compactly designed radiator grille with a horizontal front slat is finished in chrome and the company logo proudly occupies its place in the centre of this grille. However it is the honeycomb type perforated black matte air dam that gives the colour its distinctive look. The side profile is smooth and the black matte finish is continued here to great effect.
