Who is/was the best comedian in Malayalam Movies?

We all like to laugh. There are some people who have the brilliant talent of making others laugh. Of course, there are a few others, the very sight of whom makes us laugh. Our Malayalam movies have many such comedians who have such a great sense of humor that the very presence of them in the movie makes us laugh.
Our this weeks question is - Who is the best comedian in Malayalam movies? Is it Jagathy Srikumar or is it someone else? Please vote and if possible write one movie or scene which you think is the best comedy.

I think the best comedian in Malayalam is Jagathy. He has a special way of doing comedy. He does not enact a character, but becomes the character and gives it a Jagathy touch.

But the comedian I like the most is suraaj. I can't remember how much I laughed while seeing Hello, Annan Thampi, Madampi, Veruthe oru bhaarya...

Jagathy is ultimate. His role in Kilukkam, Yodha, Meeshamadavan etc are superb. He is one guy, as Jeevan said, who has the caliber to make the audience laugh, just by appearing on the screen. Remember Pachalam bhasi in Udayananu Tharam?... Those navarasangal and his extra few rasams?? Who else in Malayalam movie industry can do such an act other than Jagathy?

Jagathy is best. but i vote for jagadish. jagadish did best comedy in in harihar nagar, in hitler, in godfather. his dialog "kakka thooriyenna thonnunne" in in harihar nagar is best. so i say jagadish is the best malayalam comedian in malayalam cinema.

Jagathy is good but he goes low standard sometimes. I will say that Innocent is the best comedian. He maintains quality and standard in every role. Never goes down to that 'thara' level as Jagathy does. Ramji Rao Speaking and Mannar Mathai Speaking are two comedy movies i like the most.

Another actor who is very good at handling comedy roles is Srinivasan. Though he is not a comedian, he knows how to create humour by humiliating himself. Eg. Udayananu Tharam, Vadakkunokki Yenthram, Chinthavishtayaya Shyamala.

There is no other actor in the entire south indian movie industry who can handle comedy as Jagathy Sreekumar does. Others try to enact a comedy but Jagathy gives life to a comedy. That is the difference.

My vote for Jagathy.Eventhough he goes thara in some films there is no other actor who could match his best performances

When i see some of the old movies old black and white movies, i think Nasir, Ummer, Jayan etc are the best comedians. But truely, Adoor Bhasi was a good comedian.

I like suraaj. His comedy is a variety. We are used to comedy by jagathy and innocent. Salim Kumar was also very good at the beginning. But he too is boring these days.

Our one and only Jagathy is the best comedian in Malayalam movies. The number of movies he does and the variety of roles he handle is the only thing to be seen to prove this. Jagathy and mohanlal is a wonderful combination and together they do the best comedy. Yoddha and Kilukkam are two of their best.

മലയാള സിനിമയില്‍ കോമഡി എന്നാല്‍ ജഗതി മാത്രം. ജോഷി പറഞ്ഞ "Low Standard" കോമഡി ചെയ്യുമ്പോള്‍ പോലും ജഗതി അതില്‍ ഒരു കോമഡി standard maintain ചെയ്യുന്നു. എന്റെ അഭിപ്രായത്തില്‍ മലയാള സിനിമയില്‍ ജഗതിയെ പോലെ കോമഡി അനായാസം കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുവാന്‍ സാധിക്കുന്ന മറ്റൊരു നടന്‍ ഇല്ല.
