Wheat flour – 2 cups
Water - to make the dough
Salt to taste
|
Mix the flour with sufficient water and knead into a pliable dough. Keep it aside for some time. Divide the dough into 10 equal balls. On a well floured surface, roll them out into chappathis.
Preheat a tava on medim heat. Place a chappati in it and roast for a few seconds on medium heat. Flip over and roast the other side too. Remove from the tava and roast both the sides directly over the flame for a few seconds, till it swells up. Serve hot with gobi Manchurian or paneer mattar
NB
Instead of placing the chappatis over the flame, while the chappati is still on the tava, use a clean muslin cloth and gently press down on the chappati and make it swell.
