KERALA FISH CURRY

A recipe to prepare the traditional Kerala style fish curry.
Ingredients
Fish 450 gms
Ginger 10 gms
Garlic 4 to 5 cloves
Turmeric 1/4 tsp
Corriander Leaves - 1 pinch
Coconut 30 gms
Cumin 1/4 tsp
Fennel 1/4 tsp
Green chillies 4-5
Lemon 1/2
Oil
salt to taste
Directions
Clean and cut the fish. Wash again and apply salt. Grind coconut, cumin, fennel, 3/4th of garlic, ginger, turmeric and green chillies. When almost done add coriander leaves. Extract the juice from the lemon and add it. Heat oil and fry crushed garlic, add spices, water and a little salt. Cook till required amount of gravy remains. Add fish and simmer till fish is cooked and add lemon juice. Serve hot.
