Coconut mixed fish curry..
Ingredients
fish -1kg
oil :2 tbspn
half cocunut grated.
tomato -2
kerala tamarind(kudampuli) - 3 pieces
mustard -1tspn
set 1.
ginger : 1 1/2inch (finely chopped)
garlic : half of the garlic
shallots(chuvanulli): 10 pieces(chopped)
green chilly - 6
curry leaves
set 2
red chilli powder - 1tspn
kasmiri chilli powder(Piriyan mulak) - 4 tspn
coriander powder - 4 tspn
turmeric powder- 1/4 tspn
fenugreek powder(uluva) - 1/4 tspn
salt to taste
Directions
Step 1: make paste of grated cocunut,along with 1tspn of corander powder and chilli powder.
soak Kerala tamarind in half a cup of water.
Step 2
Heat oil in a an earthern vessel(chatti).Add mustard seeds,once the mustard seeds are fried properly add finely items in the set 1along with some curry leaves.
Saute it until the mix become fried enough.Add slices of tomato,and stir it for 2 minutes.Add the ingredients in set 2 and fry it for 2 minutes.
To this add the mix prepared in step 1 along with sufficient water.stir the mixture until it is boiled.
Add the cut fish pieces to mixture and keep for 15 minutes on a medium flame.
Garnish with curry leaves and serve hot !!!!!!
