Ingredients
Black Gram - 2 Cups
Green Chillies - 1 or 2
Ginger(chopped) = 1 tsp.
Curry Leaves or Coriander Leaves - a few
Salt - to taste
Oil - to fry
Directions
Wash and soak gram for 2-3 hours.
Drain water completely.
Into the jar of a mixer grinder, put chillies first and fill the jar with half quantity of gram and run on high speed.
Stop, stir and run again till dal is ground to a thick smooth paste.
Repeat the same process for balance quantity of gram.
Add salt, ginger, curry leaves/coriander leaves.
Shape the dough on a banana leaf in 2-3 cm rounds and flatten.
Deep fry in hot oil till golden brown.
Serve hot with chutney.
