Refined flour – 1 ½ cup and another 1 tbsp
Softened butter – 120gm
Powdered sugar – 75 gm
Glace cherries – 8 to 10
Vanilla essence – ½ tsp

Cream the powdered sugar and butter till light and fluffy. Fold in the flour and prepare a soft dough.
Divide the dough into 20 balls and flatten gently. Press a slice of a glace cherry into the center of the cookie. Place the cookies ½ inch apart on a suitable greased and lined baking tray. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Remove, cool on a wire rack and serve.
