Grated carrot – 1 1/2 kg
Milk – 2 litres
Fresh Cream – ¾ to 1 cup
Sugar – 1 3/4 cup
For garnishing
Chewnuts – 10 to 12
Ghee – 1 tsp

Pour milk in a container and simmer for sometime until the milk thickens a little. Add the grated carrots and fresh cream. Mix well. Cook on medium heat till the carrots soften. Add sugar. Dry up the moisture, stirring occasionally, till the halwa starts to leave the sides of the unit. Remove from heat and garnish
Garnishing
For garnishing, add ghee and roast the cashew nuts on low heat, till golden brown. Garnish the halwa with toasted cashew nuts and serve hot.
