Ingredients
cumic seeds - 1 spoon, mustardseeds -1 spoon
redchillies - 2
curry leaves
asafoetida - 1/2 spoon
big onion - 1, green chillies-5, tamatoes - 2
yellow cucumber- 1, drum sticks-2
thick tamarind juice-2 cups
completly boiled dal-2cups
salt to taste
coriander powder -1 spoon
samber-powder-1 spoon
oil-3 spoon
water-1 1/2 glass
Directions
heat the pan and put 3spn of oil.after 5 sec add cumic ,mustard seeds, asafoetida(if u like), red chiilies and curry leaves.after 10 sec add onion,green chillies and stir it...as onion become golden in colour add turmeric powder(stir it)tamatoes,yellow cucumber slices , drum sticks and 1/2 tbsp salt and stir....place a lid on the pan for 3 to 5 mins in a low flame...after that just watch cucumber is boiled or not...(it is boiled in oil because of salt)then add turmeric juice to it..let it boil for 2 mins and add water to it and boil it for 5 mins then add dal to it for 10 mins...before u put of the stove..add coriander powder,salt and samber powder before 2 mins..this is really tasty for white rice:)
