The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Armed Forces has held a mass wedding for 100 troopers.
The wedding held earlier this week was attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the ruler's representative in the western region, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, minister of higher education and scientific research, Lt. Gen. Obaid Al Kaabi, undersecretary of the ministry of defence, Lt. Gen. Hamad Mohammed Thani Al-Rumaithi, chief of staff of the UAE Armed Forces among others.
Sheikh Hamdan said the wedding was the second of its kind organised by the armed forces.
"This initiative helps the grooms afford the heavy wedding expenses and backs them to achieve progress in their careers and marriage life," he said.
