Chennai, July 25
Information technology trade association Nasscom is expecting an 11-14 percent growth for the current year, its president Som Mittal said Wednesday.
"The growth is contributed by mid and small companies that are growing around 20 percent," he said, adding that the projections will be reviewed in October.
Speaking at a human resources seminar, Mittal said the mid-size companies with their focussed approach were growing now unlike in 2008 when they were hit by recession.
He said the Asia-Pacific, Latin America and other markets now contributed around 20 percent, up from 10 percent earlier, and this did not mean the US and Britain markets would drop.
