Bayern Munich have defeated second division side Regensburg 4-0, thanks to a brace by striker Mario Mandzukic, in the first round of German Cup (DFB Pokal) football.
The Bavarians did not show any weakness considering that six Bundesliga teams were already eliminated from the cup by lower league sides.

Finally, substitute Claudio Pizzaro volleyed home following a fast build up by Shaqiri.
In the other matches Monday, Chemnitz lost 3-0 to Dresden, Union Berlin sealed a 1-0 win over extra time and Sandhausen defeated Cottbus 3-0.
