Sensex moves up 66 points after opening

A key Indian equities index rose 66 points in the green after opening weak Monday.

The sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) opened at 17,118.14 points and was ruling at 17,185.79 points, up 66.76 points or 0.39 percent from its previous close, within five minutes of trade.

Around the same time, at the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the broader 50-share S&P CNX Nifty was at 5,134.55 points, against the previous close at 5,117.3 points, a gain of 0.34 percent.

Broader market indices were also in the green, with the BSE madcap index up 0.62 percent and the BSE small cap index ruling 0.52 percent higher.
