Cold wave in Himachal; it's -11.3 in Keylong

A cold wave continued to sweep Himachal Pradesh Friday, with its higher reaches shivering under sub-zero temperatures.

The minimum temperature in Shimla was 3.8 degrees Celsius, down from Thursday's 5.5 degrees, the director of the meteorological office, Manmohan Singh, told IANS.

Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district and Kalpa in Kinnaur district saw a low of minus 11.3 and minus 5.9 degrees respectively.

Sundernagar in Mandi district recorded a low of 1.3 degrees, while it was 0.6 degrees at Bhuntar in Kullu district. The night temperature at Dharamsala stood at 3.7 degrees.
