After quitting the "Spider-Man" franchise, actor Tobey Maguire is set to play Bilbo Baggins in J.R.R. Tolkein's "The Hobbit".
Maguire, 34, signed up for the role because "The Hobbit" producer Peter Jackson and director Guillermo del Toro have been after him for months, reports guardian.co.uk.
"'The Hobbit' team are deep in the casting process. Everyone is over the moon. Tobey is not only one of the most recognisable faces in Hollywood, he is also one of the best actors," said a source.
