Chidambaram lauds Bangladesh's role in fighting terror

Home Minister P. Chidamabarm Sunday expressed appreciation for Bangladesh's role in apprehending leaders of Indian insurgent groups hiding in its territory.

Replying to queries at a press conference here about presence of KLO (Kamatpur Liberation Organisation) leaders in Bangladesh, the minister said that it was not the only outfit “whose leaders have found haven” in the neighbouring country.

However, the minister said the government appreciated the “splendid cooperation” extended by Bangladesh in apprehending the leaders of terror groups.
