Bhubaneswar, March 18
A youth was lynched in Berhampur district of Orissa after he and two others fired at villagers holding a meeting, police said Thursday.
The incident occurred in Paindi village Wednesday night. One villager was critically injured in the gunfire. The villagers chased the trio and beat one of them to death, police officer Diptimayee Mallick said.
