Natalie Woods' sister wants to reopen the investigation into the late actress's death at sea in 1981.

The "Rebel Without a Cause" star drowned off the coast of California after trying to make it to shore from a luxury yacht in a dinghy. Her death was ruled an accident.

However, Wood's sister Lana insists there are many things about the tragedy that just don't make sense to her, and she wants the actress' widower, actor Robert Wagner, to recall the events of the awful night one more time, reports imdb.com.

She claims that modern crime-solving technology will help solve the mystery once and for all.

"Is he (Wagner) somehow culpable in her death? I want to look him in the eye and ask him that. I just want the truth to come out," said Lana.

She also insists that reports that her sister untied the yacht's dinghy and headed for shore to escape a fight between her husband and their guest, actor Christopher Walken, just don't add up - because Natalie was terrified of the water, and would never have attempted to row to shore in her nightgown.

I think the Natalie Wood case should be reopened by Natalie's sister. I was very young at the time when this incident happened, and I remember the details of the story didn't make sense. It seemed everything was covered up and changed.

I don't believe Christopher Walken or Robert Wagner's story it doesn't make sense. I also believe Natalie being scared of the water never would have taken that dingy boat out alone that night. Natalie Wood must have had a premontion about this when she was young since she was always terrified of the water.
