Hollywood actor-rapper Will Smith's 10-year-old son Jaden has landed the lead role in an upcoming remake of the 1984 film "The Karate Kid".
Jaden, Smith's eldest son with wife Jada Pinkett, had previously acted alongside his father in the 2006 movie "The Pursuit of Happyness".
According to Variety.com, he will play the part made famous by Ralph Macchio in the film.
The new film, which will see Smith as the co-producer, will be relocated to Beijing, China, but will explore the same themes as the original three pictures, with a bullied youth learning to stand up for himself with the help of a wise martial arts expert mentor, reports contactmusic.com
