Indias Rohan Bopanna and Pakistans Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi have stormed into the US Open tennis mens doubles final with a 7-6(5), 6-4 victory over Argentinas Eduardo Schwank and Horacio Zaballos.
The 16th-seeded India-Pakistan pair, which has set diplomatic tongues wagging over period given the tense relations between their countries, is now up against top seeded Americans Mike and Bob Bryan for the Fridays championship clash.
Bopanna and Qureshi had beaten the Bryan brothers in August in Washington, the American duos only loss this summer.
Qureshi has also reached the final of mixed doubles. He and Czech partner Kveta Peschke play top seeds Lizel Huber and Bob Bryan.
US mens doubles title holders Leander Paes of India and Lucas Dlouhy of the Czech Republic have already bowed out of the championship first round.
