India's Saina Nehwal lost to Tine Rasmussen of Denmark in the first league match of the World Super Series Masters Final badminton in Sabah, Malaysia Thursday.
Seventh seed Saina went down to the second-seeded Danish 18-21, 14-21 in 27 minutes in the Group B match.
World No. 10 Saina will next play fourth-seeded French PI Hongyan and sixth-seeded Malaysian Mew Choo Wong.
