Pleasant morning in Delhi, rains expected

New Delhi, June 1

A cool and windy morning greeted Delhiites Wednesday with the mercury staying below the normal. The met office has predicted rains later in the day.

The national capital recorded a minimum of 26.1 degrees Celsius, two notches below the normal, for this time of the season. The humidity was recorded at 66 percent.

"Skies will remain partly cloudy with possibility of rain or thundershowers with squall in some areas," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The maximum temperature is expected to settle around 36 degrees Celsius.

Delhi Tuesday recorded a maximum of 41.5 degrees Celsius, a notch above the normal while the minimum settled at a normal of 27.6 degrees.
