Two four-year-old kindergarten girls in a Chinese city were found dead in their school bus where they had accidentally remained locked up for eight hours.
The incident took place in Jingzhou city in central China's Hubei province.
The police detained bus driver He Zhengkun and a kindergarten teacher, Shanghai Daily cited the Wuhan Evening News as reporting.
Peng Yiwen and Chen Qingxue were picked up from their homes at around 8.30 a.m.
Their teacher Tan Zuhong brought the children to classrooms, but she forgot to check if anyone else was there on the bus. The two girls remained locked in the bus for eight hours and died.
They were noticed at 4.30 p.m. when the driver saw them lying under the back seats of the bus.
Two similar cases were reported in the country's Anhui and Hainan provinces last month.
