Five held with tiger, leopard skins

New Delhi, Feb 9

Five men involved in an international wildlife racket were arrested with one tiger and four leopard skins from Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh, officials said Thursday.

Based on specific information, a joint operation was carried out by the Wildlife Crime Control Bureau (WCCB) and state police.

"We have recovered one fresh tiger skin and four leopard skins. Five men who are part of an international wildlife trafficking network were arrested," a WCCB official said.

The consignment was to be sent to Nepal.
