Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has sent out a congratulatory note to actor Soumitra Chatterjee, who has been selected for India's highest film honour - the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for 2012.
"Soumitra Chatterjee gets the Dada Saheb Phalke Award... congratulations Soumitra da... such a magnificent journey in cinema," Amitabh tweeted.
The Bengali actor made made his debut in 1959 with Satyajit Ray's "Apur Sansar". He went on to feature in Ray's classics like "Sonar Kella", "Charulata", and "Ghare Baire".

Kunal Kohli back on TV?
Filmmaker Kunal Kohli hints that he might return to the small screen this year as a judge on a reality show.
"I've judged 2 reality shows so far. Can judge in between films. Maybe this year you'll see me judge one," Kohli tweeted.
He has earlier been on the judging panel of dance reality show "Nach Baliye 2" and chilidren's singing-dancing reality "Ek Se Badhkar Ek - Chota Packet Bada Dhamaka".

Who is Dia's father figure in B-town?
Bollywood actress Dia Mirza has no godfather in the film industry, but she has found a father figure in Boman Irani.
She spoke about her closeness with Boman on the sets of NDTV India’s "Issi Ka Naam Zindagi".
According to a source, she got teary-eyed during the shoot of one of the episodes of the show.
She revealed the ways in which Boman has always been a father figure off screen and supported her during thick and thin.
The episode featuring Dia will be aired Saturday.
