Delhi jewellery shop robbed at gun point

Two men in their early 30s Tuesday robbed jewellery worth lakhs of rupees from a showroom in west Delhi after holding the owners of the shop at gunpoint, police said.

Posing as customers, the two men robbed Luthra Jewellers situated at M Block of Shivaji Market at Raghubir Nagar in Khayala area around 4.35 p.m.

“The men came in as customers at around 4.15 p.m. when the shop was empty except for the owner and his aide. The culprits fled from the spot just after looting seven trays of jewellery, consisting earrings and other items,” said Additional Commissioner of Police V. Renganathan.

Renganathan said that they did not try to collect bulky items.

According to police, they have recovered the footage captured by the CCTV.
