Beijing, May 27
As many as 60 tourists were trapped in cable cars suspended in mid-air at a mountain resort of China's Guangxi Zhuang region Saturday morning, Xinhua reported.
Though at least 30 of them were rescued by afternoon, efforts to save others was on despite getting hampered due to steep mountainous terrain.
Rescuers said the fire brigade received the information at around 11.00 a.m. of about 60 tourists, including some foreigners, getting trapped in the Yaoshan mountain scenic spot in Guilin city.
The accident was probably caused by power failure, they added.
