Bangalore blast accused killed in jail

Pune, June 8

Suspected Indian Mujahiddeen operative Qateel Mohammed Jaffer Siddiqui, named in the German Bakery blast and the Bangalore terror attacks, was Friday found murdered inside his cell at the Yerawada Central Jail here, police said.

Siddiqui, named in several terror cases, including the Pune German Bakery blast and Bangalore terror attacks, was found strangulated inside his cell at the high-security jail.

Maharashtra Home Minister R.R. Patil was monitoring the situation. Top police and members of the Maharashtra ATS have rushed to the jail to investigate the matter.
