A drunk mother, who left her two young children alone in a bath full of water and remained engrossed in talking with neighbours while one of her kids drowned, was jailed in Britain Tuesday.
Danielle Reeves had left her sons unattended in the bath for up to 45 minutes after "getting pissed" on vodka, The Sun reported.
On discovering her 11-month-old Frankie Joe under water, she took him to neighbours and cooked up a story that he had had a fit.
She told the medical staff of having turned her back just "for a couple of minutes" when the incident happened.
Neighbours informed police of Reeves' habit of regular heavy drinking and cannabis smoking.
The judge jailed Reeves for a total of 45 months for manslaughter.
