Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda Sunday said that appropriate action would be taken in the case of a 23-year-old former flight attendant committing suicide in the capital and blaming Haryana Minister of State for Home Gopal Kanda for taking the extreme step.
"We will take appropriate action," Hooda told reporters.
Kanda was booked following the recovery of a suicide note.
"Deepika Sharma was found dead at her Ashok Vihar residence Sunday. She had hung herself to death. We have recovered a suicide note which says Kanda had broken her trust," a police officer said.
"We have sent a team to Kanda's residence as part of our investigation," the officer added.
According to the victim's brother, Gaurav Sharma, Kanda along with his colleague Aruna Chadha were mentally harassing his sister.
"My sister quit her job with MDLR airlines and decided to work with Emirates and had gone for training in Dubai but Kanda wrote to them accusing my sister of having a bad character which led to her termination," he told reporters.
