Renowned Polish composer Zbigniew Preisner is set to make his Indian debut by scoring music for veteran Malayalam director Shaji N. Karun's forthcoming film "Gaadha".

Preisner is best known for the music composed for Polish director Krzysztof Kieslowski's films.

Karun's film "Gaadha" will have emphasis on music, besides looking into various forms of Indian music in a different perspective, said a statement issued by the veteran director here Friday.

"Preisner is reaching here tomorrow and will speak on what his plans are for my film. Mohanlal will play the lead role and will be shot mostly in north India and here. This would be a Indo-Polish-French production," said Karun, who has earlier made films like "Piravi", "Vanaprastham" and "Kutty Srank".

Karun, a Padma Shri awardee, began his career as a cinematographer, has won several national and international awards, including honours at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.
