Canadian singer Chad Kroeger was embarrassed when he disclosed his engagement to his parents.
The 37-year-old is engaged to singer Avril Lavigne.
"My mom is a huge fan of Avril's, so putting her on speakerphone and telling her the news was hilarious and equally embarrassing," femalefirst.co.uk quoted Kroeger as saying.
Kroeger also admits that there is curiosity about knowing your parents' opinion about someone they have never met.
"You never know what your parents are going to say when you tell them you're getting married especially when it's with someone they haven't met yet," he said.
