Prosecutors in China have launched an investigation after an inmate at a detention centre was found hanged to death, Xinhua reported.
The 62-year-old inmate, Li Wanwan, was found hanged by his own belt at the bathhouse of the Jiahe county detention centre in Hunan province 5 a.m. Wednesday, officials said.
Another inmate reported the incident to the police after finding the body.
Li was under a 10-day administrative detention till Sep 17 for assaulting some people.
