Telecom major Bharti Airtel Wednesday said it has reduced promotional benefits and free minutes offered to users while maintaining the headline tariff.
"In most circles we have reduced promotional benefits and free minutes on both acquisition and existing usage," a company spokesperson said here.
"There is no change in the headline tariff. We are committed to enhance value for our customers through continued investments in network, technology, customer experience and life enriching services."
The move is being seen in the light of increase in costs.
The announcement sent the company's scrip at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) surging by 3.80 percent or 13.35 points at Rs.365 from its previous close of Rs.351.65.
