Construction and engineering major Larsen and Toubro (L&T) Thursday said it has bagged new orders worth Rs.1,162 crore (Rs.11.62 billion) for the construction of factories and residential projects.
The orders have been bagged by L&T's Buildings and Factories Operating Co, which is part of its construction division.
The company has received a design-and-build order valued at Rs.605 crore (Rs.6.05 billion) from the Andhra Pradesh government for constructing an integrated township with 3,517 flats, L&T said in a regulatory statement.
L&T has also received orders aggregating Rs.557 crore (Rs.5.57 billion) for the construction of a cement plant and other strategic factory buildings, the statement added.
