After two days of scorching heat, Delhiites have a reason to cheer with temperature Wednesday coming down thanks to rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Met department officials said.
The Met department said rain in Jammu and Kashmir and respite from dusty winds, which were blowing over the capital for the last few days, brought relief from the heat.
"The capital recorded a fall in day's temperature as rain was reported in Jammu and Kashmir region," an official of the meteorological office told IANS.
The maximum temperature Wednesday settled at 37.1 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature was recorded at 25.3 degrees Celsius.
The capital Monday recorded a high of 41.7 degree Celsius and the Met department had declared heat wave conditions.
"The capital will see a further fall in temperature in the coming days," the official said.
The Met department has forecast a clear sky with maximum temperature of around 37 degree Celsius and minimum at 25 degree Celsius for Thursday.
