Delhi records hottest April day in 50 years

New Delhi, April 29

The mercury touched 43.5 degrees Celsius in Delhi Wednesday, making it the hottest April day in the capital in the last 50 years, the Met office said.

In April 1958, the mercury had touched 43.7 degrees Celsius, which still remains the hottest in Delhi for the month of April so far.
