Agra, May 19
Two children were killed and over a dozen people injured when the roof of a builder's office collapsed at a construction site in Agra, police said Tuesday.
More than 40 labourers - both men and women - were working at the construction site on the Agra-Delhi national highway Monday evening when the incident occurred. Fire Brigade personnel rescued more than 35 labourers trapped in the debris.
Over a dozen children, men and women are critically injured, according to the police.
A case has been registered at the Sikandra police station against the builder. District authorities said compensation claims for the victims were being processed.
