Sonia Gandhi, Congress president and MP from Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh, will be visiting her constituency Friday, sources in the party said.
"She (Gandhi) will be on a two-day visit. After landing in Lucknow Friday morning, she will leave for Rae Bareli. She is likely to undertake surprise visits to villages in her constituency," Uttar Pradesh Congress spokesperson Akhilesh Pratap Singh told IANS.
She will also attend an iftar party Friday evening in Rae Bareli.
"On Saturday, besides meeting residents and discussing their problems, she will distribute sports kits to local players. She will take part in the meeting of the local vigilance committee of the Congress in the evening and review the Lok Sabha poll preparations," Singh added.
