Somdev faces Bhupathi in Wimbledon doubles opener

India's Somdev Devvarman with his South African partner Kevin Anderson has run into compatriot Mahesh Bhupathi and Bahamian Mark Knowles, seeded fourth, in the first round of the Wimbledon men's doubles.

Somdev and Anderson came through the qualifying round beating Italian Alessandro Motti and Joseph Sirianni of Australia.

The French Open champions Leander Paes and Lukas Dlouhy have been seeded third and will take on American James Blake and Mardy Fish.

Prakash Amritraj, who narrowly missed the singles main draw but succeeded in qualifying for the doubles with Pakistan's Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi, will meet 16th-seeded pair of Stephen Huss of Australia and Briton Ross Hutchins.

In the women's singles, India's Sania Mirza will open her Wimbledon campaign against German Anna-Lena Groenefeld. In doubles, Sania accompanying Chia-Jung Chuang of Chinese Taipei has been seeded 15th and will play American pair of Jill Craybas and Carly Gullickson.
