Damon backs Jackman for sexiest man alive title
Hollywood actor Matt Damon wants Hugh Jackman to be named the sexiest man of 2009.
Damon, 38, who was named sexiest man alive by People magazine in 2007, was happy to hand over the mantle to the "X-Men" star last year, and is hoping the 40-year-old actor triumphs again, reports accesshollywood.com.
"Maybe he can be the first to do it back-to-back. I'll start campaigning for that," said Damon.
Damon was equally as outspoken about the men he doesn't want to see bestowed with the accolade.
The "Oceans 11" star joked it would be a travesty if his co-stars in the 2001 movie Brad Pitt, who triumphed in 1995 and 2000, or George Clooney, who bagged the top spot in 1996 and 2007, won the honour again.
"It would be absolutely intolerable. So, no, I don't want either of those guys to three-peat," he quipped.
