Ten Taliban militants were killed in fighting with the security forces in southern Afghanistan Friday, officials said.
The incident took place in Ghanzi province in southern Afghanistan.
"Our policemen came in contact with the Taliban rebels in Gilan district early Friday and 10 enemies (Taliban militants) were killed," provincial police chief Khayalbaz Shirzoi told Xinhua. There were no casualties on the police side, he said.
