Legendary New Zealand cricketer Sir Richard Hadlee Sunday inaugurated Apollo Knee Clinic at Apollo Hospitals here Sunday.
The former Kiwi all rounder said these clinics will go a long way in helping people rediscover pain-free movement.
With this launch, the first set of six clinics became operational in twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
Sangitha Reddy, executive director of Apollo Hospitals, said knee clinics will be launched in 20 hospitals across 12 locations in the next couple of weeks.
Apollo Knee Clinic offers a complete programme from prevention through early diagnosis and intervention, surgical intervention to rehabilitation.
Research, inputs from experts in orthopaedics and rehab medicine and experience of the entire team at Apollo Hospitals have all provided the material required for this programme, she said.
"Apollo will strive to deliver the best in patient care and the launch of knee clinic is another milestone in our journey towards optimum patient care. It will provide a 360 degree approach to our patients, right from prevention to treatment and rehabilitation," Prathap C. Reddy, chairman of Apollo Group of Hospitals, told reporters.
