Maoist guerrillas Tuesday attacked a contractor's storehouse and looted construction material worth more than Rs.100,000 in Orissa's Malkangiri district, police said.

More than 25 Maoists attacked the storehouse at MPV (Malkangiri Pottery Village) 77 village, about 670 km from state capital Bhubaneswar when nobody was present, district Superintendent of Police Satyabrata Bhoi told IANS.

"They looted more than 30 bags of cement and a few tonnes of iron rods. The rebels set fire to the warehouse before leaving the area," he said.

Maoists are active in more than half of the state's 30 districts. Malkangiri is considered one of the worst Maoist affected regions of the state.

It seems that Maoists are not ready to leave any thing which can't be robbed by this maoists. It seems pretty dangerous for the people who live in Malkangiri district.
