Nineteen rebels of Colombia's largest leftist guerrilla group have been captured in three separate operations, the police said.

Fourteen rebels of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) were captured in northeastern Norte de Santander province, while the rest of the insurgents were nabbed in Antioquia and Uribe provinces, the police said in a statement Wednesday.

All the accused were involved in extortion, drug trafficking and terrorist activities.
